This will be Laurie's first international competition since winning the hearts of everyone at Jesolo a couple of weeks ago. This will also be Simone and Brenna's first time on the international stage since the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.  Brenna didn't have the best qualifying competition at worlds and was subsequently put in the alternate position for the team finals. Many in the gymternet had written her off, saying she'd blown her chances. While on the elite scene, Brenna fought for consistency, she flourished at Oklahoma, which prompted her return to international elite competition.
