Alabama Gymnast Kayla Williams Gets Engaged on Senior Night

During Senior Night at the University of Alabama versus Oklahoma gymnastics meet, Alabama senior and former vault world champion, Kayla Williams got a sweet surprise.

After the meet, Kayla's boyfriend, Kevin Norwood, a  wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, got down on one knee in front of the crowd and asked her to marry him. Kayla said yes.  According to AL.com, Kevin was on site to present the awards. After they were finished, Alabama head coach Dana Duckworth suggested the couple take a picture together, alone on the Bama logo. This provided the perfect moment for Kevin to pull out an engagement ring from his jeans pocket and get down on one knee. Kayla, of course said yes. A moment commemorated by the on site announcer.

Oklahoma beat Alabama by .275 (197.725 to 197.500), but Kayla and Kevin won the sweetness award.

Kayla was a former US national team member and won the vault gold medal at the 2009 World Championships in London. She stepped down from the US national team in 2010 and came on board with the Crimson tide in 2012, helping them win a second consecutive NCAA championship.

Kayla and Kevin's engagement video went viral on YouTube moments after it happened. Kayla's teammates are in the background cheering ecstatically for her.

Congratulations to Kevin and Kayla!
