Anastasia Grishina Is Back to Training

After suffering from an injury and missing out on the World Championships in Antwerp, Anastasia Grishina has resumed training.

Oh yes, Anastasia is back and she's setting her sights on 2014 and beyond (cue "Eye of the Tiger"). She's wanting to get back into shape for next year's Euro's and Worlds.
She gave an interview with International Gymnast Magazine earlier this week. She said she's set her sights toward the next year and she and her coaches, Victor and Irina Razumovsky have a new training plan. Anastasia really has a very positive and mature outlook on the whole past year and everything that's gone on.

"My coach and I have big plans to make my program more complicated, if only health allows and no injuries happen along the way,"

Anastasia said she'd been dealing with back problems before Antwerp and by the Russian Cup, it was too agitated to compete. She withdrew from competition and hence, Grishy-Gate 2013 ensued.

"I had a back injury because of greater (training) loads," she said. "This began at the Russian Cup in August, and before Antwerp it became even more aggravated. I had aggravated the injury so much that, not only could I not compete, but I could not take a step. Consequently the (Russian gymnastics) federation made the decision to not put me on the team."
