Ebee Price and Oksana Chusovitina Confirmed for Mexican Open

It was announced today that World Cup medalist Elizabeth "Ebee" Price and gymnastics legend/unicorn, Oksana Chusovitina will compete at the Mexican Open.

Ebee announced the news via her Facebook page today. The competition is being held November 29-30 in Acapulco, Mexico. The International Youth Cup will also be held the day before.


USA, Russia, Romania, Japan, Uzbekistan, Romania,  Brazil, Canada , Columbia, Italy, Spain and of course, Mexico have confirmed that they will be sending delegates to the competition. Ebee and Chuso have already been confirmed, along with Jade Barbosa and Francisco Barretto of Brazil,  Daneil Corral, Amaranta Torres and Javier Balboa of Mexico, Koke Uemastu of Japan, Josimar Calvo of Columbia and Kristina Sankove and Yevgeny Yudenkov, of the Ukraine. Ksenia Afanaseyva of Russia is expected to appear since she missed out on the World Championships due to a minor surgery on her ankle for a previous injury.

Last year, breakout USA star, Brenna Dowell won the all-around title at the Mexican open and Anna Dementyeva of Russia won third.
