Favorite Routines: Larisa Iordache Uneven Bars at Doha

This edition of Favorite Routines features Romanian upstart, Larisa Iordache.

Larisa was a member of the bronze medal winning team at the London Olympics and Romania is the defending European Championship team. The Romanians have suffered a depletion of their team, Catalina Ponor officially resigned from elite gymnastics, and Diana Chelaru and Raluca Haidu throwing their hands up at elite gymnastics, they are scrambling to find replacements. On the upside, it's the perfect opportunity for Larisa to take center stage.

At the Doha Artistic Gymnastics Challenge Cup, Larisa was looking strong and confident. I'm posting her uneven bars routine because I think it is a beautiful routine. The Romanian team is not the strongest on the uneven bars, but Larisa is beautiful on this event. I'm looking forward to seeing what she will do over the course of the quad. One more random thought, it's good to see the Romanians wearing actual grips instead of those horrid tape strips.

Could Larisa be the next Romanian Olympic Champion? Only time will tell.

Without further adieu, here is Larisa Iordache on uneven bars:
