Ebee Price Is On A Roll

2012 has been a very good year for Olympic Alternate,Elizabeth "Ebee" Price.

Ebee won her second international title today
at the Glasgow World Cup scoring the coveted all around gold medal. Last weekend, at the Stuttgart World Cup in Stuttgart, Germany, she won the all-around title for that event as well.

In Scotland, she started her lead early by scoring an impressive 15.900 performing the difficult (but albeit ubiquitous) Amanar vault.  Ebee remained strong and consistent throughout the competition and by the end of the night, she held her lead with an impressive four point margin with a total score of 59.165. Germany's Elisabeth Seitz came in second with a combined score 54.799.

The sixteen-year-old first year senior elite from an Allentown, PA suburb has caught gymnastics fans' eyes during nationals and she scored an alternate position for the US Women's Olympic Gymnastics team going to London. Not bad for a first year senior

Representing the boys of the US Olympic Team was Danell Leyva, who tied for fourth place with Spain's Fabian Gonzales. He placed fifth in Stuttgart last weekend.

The World Cup Series included the Stuttgart World Cup held on Dec. 1, this weekend's Glasgow Cup and the AT&T American Cup, which is scheduled for March 2, 2013 in Worcester, Mass.

You can view all of Ebee and Danell's routines from the competition at Gymnastike.org.
